I have an electric toothbrush that works fine, but I’ve never cleaned it. Do I soak it in rubbing alchohol? I really don’t want to go and buy something, but we’ve got basic cleaners around here.

The head should be changed just as often as you would a regular toothbrush. It should be rinsed in water after each use.

i TAKE AN OLD TOOTHBRUSH AND SCRUB OUT THE YUCKIES WITH TOOTHPASTE OR BAKING SODA AND WATER. CHANGE THE HEAD EVERY OTHER MONTH OR SO!
You should just soak it in warm water (just the head part, by the way!)
Pour a little peroxide over the head and then rinse with hot water once a week. But that only goes so far. You should buy a new head every 3 months or sooner if it gets out of shape.
Clean any build up between the bristles with a toothpick and rinse. Wash with washing up liquid, and if it happens to be antibacterial also, leave your toothbrush head overnight. Rinse the following they and put away.
